Frequently asked questions
Answers about invoice reviews, rate cards and ChargeAlign pricing.
What does ChargeAlign check?
ChargeAlign compares the lines on your invoice with your contract and rate card, and highlights potential discrepancies, such as a rate that differs from what was agreed or a quantity that appears higher than expected. Every finding is shown with the evidence behind it, so you can review it yourself.
Which documents do I need?
You need the invoice as a PDF and the contract or rate card as a PDF. A CSV export of your invoice lines is optional and can help when a PDF is difficult to read.
How does an invoice review work?
Upload your invoice and your contract or rate card, then start the review. ChargeAlign reads the documents, matches the billed lines against the agreed rates and shows each potential discrepancy with an explanation and the calculation behind it.
Is a result a final determination?
No. ChargeAlign points out potential discrepancies and shows the evidence, but it does not make legal or final determinations. Always review the finding and the underlying documents before acting on it.
What does ChargeAlign cost?
You can check your first invoice for free. Pro costs €19 per month and Business costs €49 per month, with unlimited invoice checks while the plan is active. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your invoices and contracts are stored privately and are only accessible to you. They are never shared with third parties or shown to other users.
How do I check a supplier invoice against a contract?
Compare each priced line with the agreed contract or rate card, line by line: the rate, the quantity, any discount and the VAT rate. ChargeAlign shows the agreed rate, the invoiced rate and the difference, with the evidence behind each finding.
What causes most supplier invoice discrepancies?
Usually rates above the rate card, quantity differences, expired discounts, duplicated lines, a wrong VAT rate or surcharges that were never agreed. Small repeated differences often add up to more than one large error.
Can ChargeAlign help accounts payable teams spot overbilling?
It highlights where an invoiced amount differs from the agreed amount and shows the calculation behind it. Whether that is overbilling, a legitimate variation or a rounding convention remains your decision.
